The 1st General Body Meeting was held on 15th July 2024 near the Office of SCOPES in Dept. of Civil Engineering, FET, SOA Deemed University, where the Memorandum, Bye Laws have been approved and several other resolutions were made.

Our society collaborated in the State Level Symposium on "Regional environment and Climate in Odisha: Lightning, Thunderstorm and Heatwave", jointly organized by INSAF, SCOPES and IMS Bhubaneswar at St. Xaviers High School, Jagatsinghpur on 23rd January 2025. The school students of the district participated in this event. Our Prof. U. C. Mohanty and Dr. Manorama Mohanty were Guest Speakers in the event.
The SCOPES, in collaboration with INSAF, Jagatsinghpur, organized a School Students Workshop on Climatic Hazards at Jagatsinghpur on 23rd January 2025
Based upon the integrated efforts of all the founder life members, we received The Registration Certificate of the SCOPES on 03rd March 2025 from IGR, Govt. of Odisha. Now SCOPES is a registered society.
Subsequently the Bank Account has been opened in Union Bank of India, Sashtrinagar Branch on 30th March 2025 and PAN has been obtained.
The 1st Executive Council meeting was held on 10th April 2025 at SOA University Board Room. Hon. Vice Chancellor of SOA deemed University was invited in this meeting and he unveiled the Logo and Vision/Mission Statements of SCOPES in this meeting.

Another Executive Council Meeting was held on 10th May 2025 in Hybrid Mode.
A Felicitation Program was organized on 14th June 2025 at MC-Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with IMS Bhubaneswar, for honoring Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, DG, IMD on his receiving "UN Sasakawa Award 2025 for Disaster Risk Reduction".
Prof. T. C. Panda Memorial Lecture was organized on 26th July 2025 by Celebrating of World Nature Conservation Day 2025. It was organized jointly by IMS Bhubaneswar Chapter, SCOPES and Trident Academy of Technology (TAT) at TAT, Patia, Bhubaneswar. Dr. B. K. Pattnaik, Ex. PCCF, Govt. of Odisha was the Key Speaker and Dr. Prabodh Mohanty, an eminent Industrialist and Chairman of Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industries was the Chief Guest in the event. Around 200 faculties and students participated in the event.
We have now 49 Life Members spread across several institutes/organizations and Two Institutional Members. They are SOA Deemed University and M/s SNM Group of Industries.
