The SCOPES, established during year 2024, is a registered non-profit making society with its registered office at SOA University premises. The idea of SCOPES dates back to a brainstorming at SOA University during the year 2020. The society has been formed to carry forward the movement “Science for Common People” through students as its primary drivers. This movement aims to promote scientific temperament amongst common people , which will enable them in understanding the science behind various real-world objects and phenomena. This will in turn empower the community to adapt with the planetary adversities in an enhanced manner in this era of climate change and increasing natural disasters. The society aims to unite academicians, researchers, planners, administrators, business managers, activists, media persons, students, common people, in fact all the stake holders of planet earth, in a single platform as members for working together. Encompassing all sciences including natural, physical, engineering, medical and social sciences, the ultimate goal is to bring science from “Lab to Land” ensuring service of the mankind. In this movement, the society has identified 08 focus themes:

ସ୍କୋପସ ହେଉଛି ୨୦୨୪ ବର୍ଷ ରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ଏକ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସଂଗଠନ। ଏହାର ମୁଖ୍ୟ କାର୍ଜ୍ୟାଳୟ ସୋଆ ବିଶ୍ବବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ। “ଜନ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ” ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ, ଯାହାର ଉତ୍ପତି ୨୦୨୦ ମସିହା ରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ ବିଶ୍ବ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଟିତ ଏକ ଅଲୋଚନ ଚକ୍ର ରେ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ କୁ ଆଗେଇ ନେବା ପାଇଁ ସ୍କୋପସ ସଂଗଠନ ର ସୃଷ୍ଟି। ଏହି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରାକୁ ଉଜ୍ଜୀବିତ କରିବା ଏବଂ ବିଜ୍ଞାନକୁ ସରଳ ଭାବରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚାଇବା, ଯାହାଦ୍ଵାରା ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟରେ ମାନବଜାତିର ଉନ୍ନତି ପାଇଁ ସହାୟକ ହୋଇପାରିବ । ବିଶ୍ବ ତାପନ, ଜଳବାୟୁ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ବିପର୍ଜୟ ର ଏହି ଯୁଗରେ, ଏହି ବିପ୍ଲବ ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ଏବଂ ବାସ୍ତବ ଦୁନିଆର ଘଟଣା ଗୁଡ଼ିକର ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ ଅନୁଶୀଳନକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହିତ କରିବ, ଯାହା ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସମୟରେ ଜଳବାୟୁ ଉପଯୋଗୀ ସମାଜ ଗଠନରେ ସହାୟକ ହେବ । ପ୍ରତିବଦଳରେ, ଏହା ପରିବେଶ ଅନୁକୂଳ “ସହନୀୟ ବିକାଶ”କୁ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବ । ଏହି ବିପ୍ଳବକୁ ଆଗେଇ ନେବାରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ତରର ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନେ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଭୂମିକା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବେ । ଏହି ସଂଗଠନ ଏକ ବିଶେଷ ମଞ୍ଚରେ ବିଜ୍ଞାନର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଶାଖା ଯଥା - ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ, ଭୌତିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ, ଚିକିତ୍ସା ବିଜ୍ଞାନ, ସାମାଜିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ, ଯାନ୍ତ୍ରିକବିଦ୍ୟା ତଥା ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତିବିଦ୍ୟା ଇତ୍ୟାଦିକୁ ପ୍ରତିନିଧିତ୍ୱ କରୁଥିବା ଶିକ୍ଷାବିତ, ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ, ଗବେଷକ, ବିଶେଷଜ୍ଞ, ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପ୍ରଶାସକ, ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ, ସ୍ବେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ଏବଂ ସର୍ବୋପରି ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି କରିବାକୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖିଛି। ଏହାର ଅନ୍ତିମ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ବିଜ୍ଞାନ କୁ କେବଳ ପରୀକ୍ଷାଗାର ରେ ସୀମିତ ନ ରଖି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସେବାରେ ଲଗାଇବା। ସଂଗଠନର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଗୁଡିକୁ ପ୍ରାଥମିକତା ଦେବା ପ୍ରୟାସରେ, ଯଦିଓ ସଂପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନୁହେଁ, ତଥାପି ନିମ୍ନଲିଖିତ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ବିଷୟଗୁଡିକ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରାଯାଇଛି ।
